I can’t believe a week has gone by without a blog post. Sometimes life is just crazy busy and I don’t know where the time goes. I’m sure everyone feels like that. A few exciting things happened this week. The fall soccer season started this week and we had our first two games. I had to sit out the spring season since I was pregnant and I missed playing. Even though I’m not in the best shape right now, it felt so good to get out and play soccer again. It seems like my body is so much slower now! I know I’m just out of shape but I felt like I was in one of those dreams where you try to run but you can’t move. It’s just a weird feeling. Jeremy and I are hoping to join a gym again soon.
Irelynn and I went to a seminar on “The Happiest Baby on the Block” I had heard of this dvd and technique while I was pregnant but didn’t think too much about it. Someone gave me the dvd to watch and when Irelynn was about 2 weeks old I finally got around to watching it. The dvd gives some really good techniques to quiet a new baby. I tried them and they really do work. Irelynn is a good baby but I think the techniques come in handy sometimes. Anyway, Jeremy’s Aunt called me to see if Irelynn would be available to demonstrate the techniques at a seminar this week. The Dr. that puts out the dvd was going to be in town instructing the seminar. The seminar was really good but Irelynn was good the entire time. She didn’t cry even once so the Dr. never got to demonstrate on her! That’s ok, it was a good experience anyway.

The Basement
The basement was neglected for a few months. It just didn't seem like much of a priority once we got the baby's room finished. We finally decided to hire some people to do the sheetrock and texturing. It is coming along faster than when Jeremy and I were in charge but it is still going along at a slow rate. We hired these young guys that are bull riders. They are about 19-years old and recently quit their construction jobs to focus on bull riding and do construction on the side. Well they are typical 19-year olds. I think they party all night and they get here at about 10 or 11 am and then leave about 4pm. We aren’t in a hurry anyway so its fine with me. I’m sure they will move a little faster when they want some money. Today its 1:00pm and they haven’t showed up yet. It is a really rainy day. Its not a normal day for Cheyenne. I never really want to get out of bed on days like this so I bet those guys are still sleeping too. I think Irelynn doesn’t like rainy days either. She has been sleeping all day. She wakes up to eat and then falls right back asleep. I could never live in Oregon or Washington!

Favorite Places
Here are some of Irelynn's favorite places to sit. She loves her bouncy seat. Sometimes I take her out of it to hold her and she gets mad and I have to put her right back in the bouncy seat. She loves this bouncy seat. I take her into every room with me and do what I have to do. She just sits and hangs out, as happy as can be.
Her other favorite place, is to sit all snuggled up on my shoulder. She falls asleep there all the time.
Her next favorite place is to be all wrapped up with her pa-pa.

Baptism
Yesterday Irelynn was baptized. It was a nice, small family affair. She was really good through the whole ceremony. She didn't cry when they poured the water on her head. She started to get hungry towards the end during picture time. Her godparents are my brother, Tighe, and Jeremy’s Aunt Mona. Irelynn wore the same dress I wore for my baptism. Our friend, Lois Hansen made the dress. I'm so glad my mom saved the dress for me all these years. It is so special to have Irelynn wear it for her baptism.

Flood
We had some heavy rains the last two days in Cheyenne. These pictures are from Tuesday night. Someone sent them to me. I'm really glad I was at home!

Growing and Sleeping
Irelynn went to the Drs. last week and she is now 9lbs 8ozs. She is just growing like crazy. It just happens so fast. When we first brought her home and put her in the bassinet, she looked so tiny. Now she takes up a lot more room in there. I think she will grow out of it in a few weeks. Its just really amazing how much they change. She is also turning into a really good sleeper. She will sleep anywhere from 4 to 7 hours! Last night she slept from 10pm to 5am. She is such a good baby and lets her mom get lots of sleep (Dad always gets to sleep). Here are just a few pictures. I need to take more!
