I've started this blog so that we can keep everyone informed about the new baby. My cousin, Meghan, has one going for her new baby. So my mom has been on my case to start one too. I have one website on Myspace but she says only weird people use MySpace. So here is site for all the "normal people".
We found out on February 7th that we will be having a little girl. We are naming her Ireland. I've wanted that name for years and years so there wasn't really a question. We don't have a middle name yet.
I have been feeling the baby kick for a few weeks now. Last night we discovered that you can feel her kicking from the outside! Its really an amazing feeling. The doctor said everything looks really good. I have been feeling great too.
Jeremy is currently trying to work on the basement so that we can move our computer room down there. I’m getting a little nervous. Since we found out we are having a girl, I feel like we need to start working on her room. We can’t really start her room until we have the basement somewhat completed. I’m sure it will all work out in the end.
I have some ultrasound pictures that I hope to post soon. I will really try to update the site often. I hope everyone enjoys the site. We are very excited!

Thanks, Erin for this!!! You are sooo lucky to be having a baby girl. Best of Luck. I know you will be the best Mom. Your Mom cracks me up about My Space "for the weird people." She's probably right!

Hi Erin - Congratulations! What an exciting time for you guys! I too worried about the room being ready in time because we had to put up a wall to change it from a loft to a real room. They finished it 4 days before I delivered! I was stressed about it, but in hindsite, the baby sleeps in your room for a while anyway so you can put the finishing touches on at the last minute. Enjoy every moment!

Ireland is a lovely name!
Don't stress over rooms being ready, etc. Babies fit in about anywhere for quite a while, and they don't care if they're sleeping in a drawer as long as they're fed and dry and warm.
Remember that saying about dust and dishes keeping, but babies growing fast ... it's so true. Sit in the rocker with her and relax! And take naps!

Erin and Jeremy, What a great blessing. I had to laugh at the Weird People reference to the My Space site. I kind of think all this blog stuff is weird....but then I am a good deal older and not use to these "Modern Ways". I love the name you have picked and can visualize some lovely spots in that country that I hope young Ireland will some day visit. Congratulations on the baby girl. Just wait for when you see your whole belly move, or you see a leg or a foot print. That when it is fun.
I can't wait to see prego belly pictures!! When I see you, I don't want to say, "Erin, lift your shirt so I can see your tummy." That would be weird, but I really don't see you as often as I would like so it is hard to keep up with how you and the baby are growing. I am really glad to hear that you are loving your pregancy!! I am so happy for you!! You will make a great mommy!
