Sick Little Baby

Irelynn was sick this week with a cold. I think this was actually her second cold. I'm not sure though. About 6 weeks ago, she seemed like she had a cold for a day and 2 nights but it went away really fast and was really mild. I thought maybe it was allergies? My allergies were really bad at that time....but her dad was sick at that time too. Last weekend, Raeleigh came to visit. Whenever anyone is sick, I make sure they are very far away from my little Irelynn. Yes, I'm crazy, but I don't care. Most of the time I move out of the house when Jeremy is sick. The last time he was sick, I moved to my mom's house and she got sick so then I moved to my brother, Tighe's house. So anyway, Raeleigh came on Friday night and she was just fine. Then late on Saturday night I started hearing a cold coming through. Jeremy just thought I was paranoid. No.....I know these things! I'm a mother! Anyway, Jeremy figured out I was right after he had a rough night with Raeleigh waking up several times. Turns out she was getting a cold and puking. Oh what fun. So I just waited. I knew Irelynn would get it since 5 year olds can not keep their hands off of babies and had been all over her on Saturday. Jeremy started getting the cold on Monday and then I heard it start with Irelynn on Tuesday night. Atleast it was just the cold and not throwing up. It wasn't too bad of a cold but I know I hate being sick so I'm sure she does too. She hates the snot sucker too. She just screams at me but I have to get all that junk out of her little nose. She is doing much better now. Its pretty much gone. We will see how the rest of the winter goes.

Drew is sick too! Its definitely the worst, I think he woke up every hour on Thursday night.. not fun! And then he proceeded to give the cold to both Justan and me. It's so hard to not really be able to help him feel better.. and he hates the snot sucker too!

We're starting to get colds too, so not fun. Silly Jeremy, motherly intuition and awareness is not to be ignored! And "snot sucker"... lol... we call it the "booger-getter-outer".

Hi, We don't know each other. But I just had to write. I came across your blog while searching the name Irelynn Grace. Without ever knowing this name has been used by others, I myself made up this name and named my sixth child Irelynn Grace. Originally I was going to name her Ireland. We are very proud of our Irish heritage. Her middle named was planned to be Lynn, as I have inherited this name and have given it to my other daughters. But my husband and I came across a problem. None of the younger children could pronounce it right. In fact, several times a day my one daughter would excitedly ask me what her soon to be sisters name was. But when she would pronounce it is came out like Irelynn. So one day my husband was listening to her and thought how pretty and unique this name would be. Now we had a problem, what would her middle name be? Well amazingly, my husband had a vesectomy a couple years back. So imagine our complete surprise when I found out I was pregnant! So, after much thought it only seemed fitting to give her the name Grace which means Blessing or Blessed. Irelynn Grace in full meaning is: Blessings of Joy Overflowing!! Our precious blessing from God was born on Aug. 8, 2008. Just wanted to share. Love your Blessing from God and may she bring you Overflowing Joy!
