Little Monkey

Irelynn is all better now from her sickness. She had it for a good two weeks. I'm so glad she is feeling better. She became a bit spoiled while she was sick and decided our bed was the only place she wanted to sleep. I decided not to let that get out of hand. She did a lot of crying and I felt so bad hearing her but I think she is already over it. Thank goodness! The night before last and yesterday (nap times) were just awful. She cried and cried because I would not let her sleep in our bed. Irelynn grew out of her bassinet awhile ago but she has been sleeping in her play yard/port-a-crib thing next to our bed. At a little over 4 months her night time sleeping became horrible. She no longer slept through the night and wanted to nurse throughout the night. Sometimes every two hours! When I went to her 6 month appointment the Dr. said we had better put a stop to that now or we would be sorry. So we are in the process of breaking that habit too. It is so hard but I think it is actually all working. She slept in her real crib for the first time last night and I am so proud of her! She only woke up once in the middle of the night to nurse. She is also took her first nap of the day in her crib and is taking her second nap of the day in her crib as I write this blog. I think she really likes her crib. She also went to take her naps without any rocking or fighting with me. I just put her in her crib and off she went to sleep. Today she is the best baby. I love my little girl.
