Tornados

We survived the tornados last week. It was all too much for me to handle but I'm glad they didn't do any harm like they did so many other places. I was very stressed out. The sirens went off several times and yes, I was freaking out. The first picture was taken right out our front door. I saw the clouds starting to swirl and was in the basement by the time this was taken. The second picture, one of our neighbors took and sent to us. I think it was the same tornado....but we had a few around Cheyenne that day.

8 Months

Here are the 8 month pictures. Its hard to believe yesterday was snowy with 60 mile an hour winds. I guess that is Wyoming Spring for you.

Jury and Irelynn Update

So this time I was selected to be on the jury for the trial. I have been there all week long. They aren't sure if they will even be finished today. I have really enjoyed it and I've learned alot about the whole trial process. I really think it's a great learning experience. So many of the people on the jury want to have the trial end as soon as possible and keep complaining that they want to go back to work. I really just do not understand! I think this is just such a great change of pace and an all around interesting experience. I guess everyone is different though.

Baby news.......Irelynn has been so active! She is constantly moving all day and all night. It makes me feel good whenever I feel her moving. It makes me believe she is doing well. She also has been having the hiccups almost everyday, a few times a day. At first, it was just the cutest feeling then I started to worry a little. I thought maybe she was having them too much. I looked online and it seems like it is all pretty normal and it is actually a sign of a strong lungs. To read that made me feel lots better.

Baby Registry

Can't believe I forgot.....but we went to Target last night to do our baby registry! That was lots of fun, of course. So we are now all registered at www.target.com or at any Target store. It's crazy to think she is supposed to be here in 2 months!

This Week

I went to the doctor again this past week. Everything is still going well. No news is good news. This last Tuesday we also started our birthing classes. We will go every Tuesday for 5 weeks. I think it will be a pretty good class and will give us some good information. It will atleast prepare us a little for the whole birthing experience. I'm a little scared of the whole thing but I'm sure every new mom has the same feelings. I'm trying not to think about it too much.

My work is getting really worried about this summer. We used to have 7 employees in our Department. Two people left this past year and the Mayor said we were not allowed to replace them because they are trying to cut spending. This week, another person on our staff announced they are leaving next month. So we are going to be down to four people and then a month after that, I will be leaving. So they will have three. I kind of feel bad for them but at the same time I think it's funny. The City doesn't believe in rewarding employees on performance and then they wonder why everyone leaves for better paying jobs. Anyway I'm glad I will not be the one stuck there this summer! I'm looking forward to my summer vacation.

I also got called for Jury Duty again starting this next Monday afternoon. So I will be missing some more work next week. Oh well....I guess that's life:)

Tomorrow we are celebrating Sully's 4th Birthday. So maybe I will have some new pictures. I can't believe how fast all these kids grow.

Sickness and Jury Duty

This week Jeremy has become pretty sick. He has had a fever for the last two days. We think maybe he has the flu? I'm now staying at my parent's house because I am not risking getting sick again. He has been feeling awful. Hopefully he feels better tomorrow. He's fever has come down a little bit tonight so that is a good sign.

I was notified in March that I would be on call for jury duty until August. I was called in this week for a trial. I spent all day Monday at the Federal Court House going through the jury selection process. This is the first time I have ever been called for jury duty. It was really interesting. A lot of people there seemed annoyed that they had to be there, missing work. I really thought it was a great learning experience and liked having the day off of work while still getting paid! At about 5:00pm on Monday I was eliminated from the jury panel. They don't tell you why you are eliminated but from the questions, other people eliminated and topic of the trial....I believe I was eliminated because I know too much about computers and I'm pregnant. So since I was not picked for this jury, I may still be called in for another trial from now until August. They said I can be permanently excused when the baby comes in June but I don't think I would mind going again. I guess we will see.

We think she has Jeremy's nose. I guess we won't really know until she gets here. I'm hoping she has Jeremy's dark skin!
